What is Surface Grinding?
Surface Grinding is one of the most common of grinding operations. Surface Grinding is typically done as a finishing operation. During this operation an abrasive wheel goes over the work pieces back and forth while removing minimal material with each pass. Surface Grinding is used to smoothen out the surface while making the surface flat.
Surface grinding is needed when:
- Remove of material from hard surface is needed
- High degree of accuracy is needed
- Very high surface finish is required
